Fee Details & MBBS Course

All payments to the university is to be made only in US$ and the rupee equivalent is calculated approximately at the current rate of US$ 1 = Rs.62/-‚ 1€ = Rs.69/-

The student should pay the tuition fee directly to the University. The fees paid to the University includes the Tuition Fee, Hostel Accommodation and Study Material for each academic year.

Medical Insurance should be take on arrival at the University which will cost approximately 60 to 200 US$/Year

Each student should carry 2000 US$ (Two thousands US Dollar) with him/her for food and other pocket expenses for each year in case of Moscow and 1000 US $ in case of other cities. Students traveling to cities other than Moscow will need 50 - 100 US$ for their travel.

The students are advised to take a medical Insurance which may cost about 100 US$ per year. In some universities insurance is compulsory.

A total amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Fifty thousand only) to be paid by each student for registration, processing, admission formalities and other incidental expenses. An initial payment of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) should be paid along with the application form for registration at the time of applying to the course. Balance of Rs. 1,30,000/­(Rupees One Lakh and Thirty thousand only) to be paid on receipt of the admission letter from the University.

The minimum eligibility criteria to get admitted into a Russian Medical College is that a student

1. must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually.

2. must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry & Biology in Higher Secondary or equivalent.


  • Medical Course Duration: 6 years.
  • Russian Language: 10 months (if Russian Medium)
  • On successful completion of the six year Medical Course the student is awarded with a M.D. (Doctor of Medicine), which is recognized as equivalent to M.B.B.S in India by the Medical Council of India.

The student should submit his/her filled in application form along with the registration fees* in way of D.D./Cheque favouring 'STUDY ABROAD EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANTS' payable at Chennai for Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) + applicable service tax, the copies of 10 th, 12th and Transfer certificate as mentioned in the application form.

The medical reports are valid only for 90 days and hence if you are applying well in advance, do not furnish any medical report and the same can be produced on demand from our office.


Student should apply for a passport if not available. The Russian immigration rule specifies that the passport should be valid for a minimum duration of 18 months from the date of entry. So if you already have a passport check for validity and if needed renew your passport. For any specific clarifications contact our student counselors.

* The registration fees of Rs. 20,000/- shall be refunded, only if the admission is not provided as sought by the student in the application form.


The application is forwarded to the concerned University. Once the confirmation is received from the University a confirmation letter is sent to the student informing the acceptance of his application and the last date of payment of the incidental fees of Rs.1,30,000/-** + applicable Service tax.

The student is expected to pay the incidental fees and sign the necessary documents and agreements on or before the due date and confirm his/her admission.


After the student pays the balance incidental charges, signs the agreement, the passport copy of the student is sent to the concerned University for a visa support letter (invitation) from the Ministry of External Affairs, Russian Federation.

At this stage if the student does not have a valid passport then he can take a copy of the admission letter received from the University and submit to the respective passport office to get the passport on a priority basis.


The student joins a one month Pre-departure Russian Language programme at the Russian Cultural Centre, Chennai. conducted by the Russian Language Institute.

In case the student is not able to personally attend this programme then Study Abroad shall supply a set of books along with Audio CD for the student to undergo this course at home.


Once the invitation is received (period 4 – 12 weeks), the visa is stamped and the student is informed about the tentative date of departure. The student shall make arrangements to take necessary foreign exchange for the tuition fee to be paid to the University on arrival to Russia and for his/her living expenses.

Any help on this regards our counselors would be there to help you. Once the visa is ready, all travel documents including the flight ticket is handed over to the student.


On arrival to Moscow airport the student shall be received by the representatives of the concerned University. The student shall pay the fees to the University and complete the admission process.

Note : The student should carry all original documents related to his education to the university. These original documents should be attested (APOSTILLE) by the Ministry of external affairs. The students can take help from our office if they are unable to get the same in time before their travel.

Rules and Regulations

Realaible and secure platform

In case of the student's failure to make the payment in time or training, the Institute has the right to expel the student without compensation of money already paid for training.

Fresh and Clean

In case of the student's non-fulfillment of the year's curriculum for unconvincing reasons as well as due to poor health conditions, violation of academic discipline, criminal actions and systematic violations of internal regulations, the Institute has the right to expel the students without compensation of money paid for current year of training and all the preceding periods of training.

Easy to customize

In cases where the health impairment is of a temporary nature, the Institute administration may provide academic leave with the right of readmission in the same course.

The student shall abide by the Russian Laws, comply with rules established for foreign citizens, rules of residence and traveling on Russian territory as well as uphold internal Institute regulations.

The University provides

In case of Medical faculty, training of selected candidates, to offer them higher education at the M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) level as general practitioner with the following specialization, therapy, pediatric and dentistry in case of graduates and Training, internship, refresher course, specialization clinical training in the case of post-graduates.

Russian language

Training in the Russian language for a minimum of nine months, in case of Russian Medium. Access to reading halls, library, sports halls and other facilities for training and recreation as provided to Russian students.

Hostel Facility

Residence in the hostel on conditions similar to Russian students for the whole period of training. (A two or three bedroom accommodation).

Rapid Customer support

The University provides visa support for each student for arrival to Russia and further provides the students with a local living registration for one year, which will be extended each year after the student pays the tuition fee for that particular year. If necessary to provide with visa support for parents to visit their son / daughter in Russia


I.M.Sechenov Moscow Medical academy

The I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy (MMA) is the oldest and the largest national medical higher educational institution. For more than 200 years the I.M.Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, former I.M. Sechenov 1st Moscow Medical Institute has been playing a leading role in the development of medical science and training of medical and scientific personnel. According to the UNESCO international rating the Moscow Medical Academy takes the second place after Rene Descartes Academy of Medical Sciences.

The Medical Faculty Departments of Anatomy and Clinical Medicine, Physical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and Natural History started functioning in 1775. In the period of 1887-1891 a complex of clinics attached to the Moscow University Medical Faculty started functioning in Devichye Polye (Maiden's Field). At that time it was one of the best in Europe.

In 1930 the Moscow University Medical Faculty was transformed into the Moscow Medical Institute functioning on its own and comprising the Medical Faculty as well as the Sanitation and Hygiene Faculty. It was the first higher medical school in the world. In 1955 the Institute was given the name of the outstanding Russian scientist Ivan M. Sechenov. A lot of outstanding figures of Russian medicalscience studied, worked and founded their own scientific schools there, among them S.G.Zybelin, M.Y.Mudrov, N.Y.Sklifosovskiy, N.F.Filatov, V.F.Snegiryov and many others. The Soviet period is marked by formation of large scientific schools of A.I.Abrikosov, N.N.Burdenko, N.A.Semashko, V.H.Vasilenko, and D.A.Zhdanov. Such names as N.I.Pirogov, I.M.Sechenov, S.P.Botkin, A.P.Chekhov are known all over the world.

Today the Academy is a major centre for training, certification and upgrading of medical personnel and pharmacists. Academic studies are closely integrated with the fundamental and applied research, providing highly qualified medical care to the population and promoting the advancement of medical science and pharmaceutics.

The I. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy is a state-run higher educational institution of the Russian Federation functioning on the basis of its Constitution, legislation, regulations of the Ministry of Health, Russia and on its own Statutes.

The Academy is the head of the academic - methodological association of Russian medical institutions. It has 69 buildings for studies, classrooms and lecture halls, the clinical centre with 18 diverse clinics for 3080 patients, the research centre, the main library, the publishing section, the video-photo department, the laboratories, the botanical garden and four students' hostels. The total area of the Academy training and laboratory premises exceeds 200,000 sq. m or 25 sq. m per student.

On a contract basis the Academy collaborates with 40 therapeutic-prophylactic and apothecary institutions, the research centres and institutes of Moscow. Annually about 8000 students from Russia and foreign countries study at the Academy. They are trained in Medicine, Preventive Medicine, Pharmacy and Nursing. About 1500 graduates are involved in the postgraduate training as a part of internship (primary specialisation), clinical internship (residency), covering all clinical specialities, or post-graduate courses.

The Academy has created a highly-qualified faculty of Professors, teachers (instructors), scientists and research associates including 4 Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 74 Members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 32 Members of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 19 Members of the International Higher School Academy.

The Academy employs about 3,000 members of the faculty, research associates and doctors including 300 Professors and 1,000 PhD in Medicine. The achievements of the scientists working at the I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy are widely known both in Russia and abroad. The Moscow Medical Academy intensively develops scientific co-operation with medical research and training centres abroad. It is a member of the World Association of Universities. International, All-Russian intercollegiate scientific congresses, conferences, symposia and seminars are regularly organized by the Academy or with its support. A number of well-known scientists of the MMA participate as specialists and experts in the work of the UN, WHO and UNESCO bodies.

In the national history of higher medical educational institutions, the Academy has been the first found totally new faculties. After two (three) years of study, the best students of the Academy and other medical institutes of Russia may continue their education at the Faculty for Research and Teaching Staff Training. Working by individual curricula under supervision of the leading scientists of the Academy these students acquire thorough knowledge of the chosen field and skills to do research.

To keep up with the international standards the Academy has also established a new trend in higher medical professional education in Russia the training of nurses with a higher education. The Faculty of Higher Education for Nurses trains specialists with a background in management and teaching.

Research work carried out by the staff members of the Academy's Research Centre as well as doctorants, postgraduate students, practical trainees, physicians and students figures prominently in the activities of the Academy.

Annually about 20 Professor's and more than 100 PhD in Medicine degrees are awarded. Most themes deal with problems of a nation-wide importance, such as development of new methods of preventive treatment, diagnosis and treatment of most common conditions, hygienic norms and environmental protection measures, creating optimal conditions for work and leisure, a rational diet, evolving new drugs and dosage forms, and medical technology studying morphofunctional and biochemical basis of the body's vital activities, working out methodological and methodical aspects of educational and teaching activities.

The Academy is a multi-purpose center where highly specialized medical care is provided in the clinics of Internal Diseases, Therapeutics and Occupational Diseases, Surgery, Otolaryngology, Urology, Dermatovenerology, Nervous and Children Diseases, Psychiatry Maxillofacial Surgery and Stomatology.

The Academy maintains collaborative ties with various international organisations. Among them are the International Association of the University Programmes for Health Management, the World Organisation of National Colleges, Academies and General Practitioners, the American International Alliance on Health Problems, the European Association of Management in Health Care, the World Academy of Medical Education.

Staff members of the Academy work as experts and consultants of the World Health Organisation. The WHO Nursing Centre was set up on the basis of the Academy. The Academy is an active member of the International Universities Association. On a contract basis it cooperates with 18 foreign educational establishments in ten countries, such as Columbia, Brawn, and Michigan universities in the USA, Philipp Marburg University, Christian Albrecht Kiel University and Munich Technical University in Germany, Rene Descartes University (Sorbonne) and Bordeaux 2 University in France, Oslo University in Norway, Laiden University in the Netherlands and others. Annually over 300 staff members are sent abroad to learn foreign experience and about 400 foreign specialists come to the Academy.

There is also an active exchange of the Academy's students with students from foreign universities and colleges on the basis of international agreements and contracts. The international reputation of the I. M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy has been confirmed by the high rating obtained in the UNESCO-held university competition.
